Wombow for Windows is in open testing — think of it as a game's open beta with no wipe. It works today, we're still smoothing edges, and nothing resets when testing ends: your account, your settings, and your saved sessions carry straight over.
First launch: Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” box — it does that for any app it hasn't seen downloaded many times yet, which is exactly what a brand-new one looks like. Click More info → Run anyway.

What you need
WINDOWS
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Nothing else to install — the app is self-contained.
MOST GAMES JUST WORK
Fullscreen included. A few games have an exclusive fullscreen mode that takes the display over completely — Wombow can't see those, and it tells you when that happens. Just switch that game to Borderless (Windowed Fullscreen).
FREE, OFFLINE
The free tier runs an AI model on your own graphics card. A dedicated GPU with 8 GB+ of memory gives the best results; without one, use the cloud tier.
What it does with your screen
Wombow looks at your game screen to know what's happening — that's the whole trick. So it's worth being precise about what that means:
- Ordinary frames are never stored. They're looked at and discarded.
- Great moments are saved locally to
Pictures\Wombow Highlights— on your PC only, never uploaded. You can turn this off in Settings. - Run it fully offline. Choose a local model in Settings and nothing about your screen leaves your machine at all.
- On the cloud tier, frames are sent over an encrypted connection to be analysed, and are not kept.

Is this safe to use with my games?
Wombow watches your screen, the same way streaming software like OBS does. On a few games it also reads the read-only data the game itself publishes on your own PC — League's live match data, read from the same documented local endpoint companion apps like Blitz and Porofessor use, and the state feed CS2 and Dota 2 publish for the same purpose.
For CS2 and Dota 2, Wombow writes one small integration file — gamestate_integration_wombow.cfg
— into that game's own config folder; that file is the switch Valve's games read at launch, it points only
at Wombow on your own machine, and you can delete it any time. (Dota 2 also needs
-gamestateintegration in its Steam launch options.)
Apart from that one integration file it writes itself, it never modifies any of the game's files. It never injects anything into the game, never reads the game's memory, and it doesn't play a single input for you. On the local tier, nothing it reads leaves your machine.
That said, competitive games each have their own rules about outside assistance — if you play in a ranked or professional setting, check your game's policy. We'd rather you know than guess.
Wombow is on iPhone too
Playing somewhere this app can't reach — a console, a handheld, the TV in the other room? The iPhone version just points its camera at the screen and watches along the same way. Nothing to install on the thing you're playing on.
Changed your mind?
Uninstall from Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Wombow. The uninstaller asks whether to keep or delete your local data (chats, highlights, preferences) — your call.
